Jade Stevenson

I’m pretty much enjoying the blissful trap of storytelling. I’ve been writing for a decade, have my degree in English Literature & Psychology and all that poetic justice background noise in the middle. My name is Jade; I’m the creator and writer behind the platform and social media influence “Jadedisland.” Originally the idea for Jadedisland came out of an illustration class I took in college, and ever since, I’ve been building and exploring the narrative. At this point in my life, I’m working on building a creative collective for myself, an oasis of creativity and artistic ventures. I’ve been navigating the experience of being a kawaii black femme for the last decade and have risen into advocacy for that complexity. On rainy days you can catch me reading, playing elder scrolls, or watching anime. I’m a pink-haired geek waiting with violin in hand, a crowded bookshelf, and a weird diet of coffee and rice bowls. If you care about the stars, I’m a Leo, rising Aquarius with a moon in Sagittarius. When I’m not writing or reading, I dream about what my life would like if I had a cat and create kawaii accessories for fun.
