hidden places

Pain comes from a dark place

Full of holes and crevices

Of despair and sadness.

At times, those places fill up

And spill over

Into your soul.

The pain can becomes so overpowering

You cannot breathe each loving breath.

Tears fill your eyes and

Become rivers of melancholy

Flowing down your face.

Try to reach deep within

And pull some joy out of that pain.

Don’t let the pain fill up and spill over

Find pockets of jubilation to overtake the emptiness of anguish.
