I Am A Woman

I am a Woman

A woman with more than just a pudenda you can taste and a chest to lean on.

I am a Woman,

A strong woman because the strength I have within me carries me through 12 months of bleeding, bet you won’t survive even after a month.

I am a Woman,

A human kind that produces Kings and Queens within the Kingdom of planet earth.

I am a Woman,

A woman birthed with super natural powers to keep my head up high and fight for acceptance and value within a so called “man’s world”.

I am a Woman,

A woman I choose to be and NOT should be!

A wise woman because I endure so much pain than my opposite human kind.

I am a Woman,

A woman who leads her way out of the kitchen into a man’s world and everyone stands still as she gracefully tackles what they concluded she shouldn’t and would never be able to.

I am a Woman,

My ears so sensitive I can hear my children’s voices in the midst of all the riffles and gun shots.

 I am a Woman,

A woman born of a woman whose man had plenty to offer but she chose to walk away with nothing but grace and dignity.

I am a Woman,

A woman who knows why the word NO is so powerful and wrongly interpreted when she says it out loud.

I am a Woman,

A woman for my sisters! YES! Me and my sisters! Women who worked through thousands of fields of rice with no rice on the table but have enough love and care to feed a crowd.

GET IT?

I said, I AM A WOMAN WIH MORE THAN JUST YOUR DOMESTIC QUALIFICATIONS!

ARE WE CLEAR?

Thank you.

Author Bio: Hello there, I am Dorcas Mbevo, a poet writer/ model. I have been writing since age 10, but I had given up on it (life happened). Recently, I renewed my vows to my writing, and it feels all brand new and I am so glad to share this powerful peace with you and your readers! What inspired me to write “I am a Woman” was simply by seeing and hearing how us Women are regarded or portrayed in this so called “man’s world.” Women all over the world are portrayed to be nothing but just sexual objects, domestic workers and so much less than who we truly are! “I am a Woman” is my truth to the world based on who we (women) are! I hope we can all relate and agree to this piece that we are worth more than what the world/ opposite sex regard us to be!
