I See

Don’t you sometimes wish others could see themselves the way you see them?

This letter is for someone whom I have grown close to. I wouldn’t change one thing about you. Ok, I would change one thing; the way you see yourself. I wish you saw yourself the way I see you.

I see,

a man who has strong character.

a man who is kind.

a man who is patient.

a man who is brave.

a man who is intelligent.

a man who cares deeply.

most importantly, a man of God.

Sometimes in life we get discouraged about ourselves. We feel we fall short because others have a way of seeming to outshine us. I want to encourage you today to look yourself in the mirror and to say 5 nice qualities about yourself and at the very end, say to yourself. “I love you, even though you are flawed”

I am a self-taught writer/poet. I self published my own poetry chapbook in October of 2018(available on amazon; title: 'Dear Whomever Sincerely, Me'). I have gone through a lot in my life and I just want to share my story in hopes that I reach people on a level where they no longer feel alone.
