Why prayers are never lost?

Prayers have power. Prayers are like magic potions that can do the impossible. Prayers can heal, prayers can protect, prayers can save. Then why sometimes even after you pray from your heart your prayer is not answered?

Whether you believe in God or not, there is something more than just us humans. How much you think you can create the life you want, the way you want it, at times you will see your plans crumbling to dust before your eyes, at times you will feel like you are a puppet attached to an invisible string.

You will find the need to pray at least once in your lifetime when you realize your vulnerability and you are open to forming a bond with the unseen superpower that pervades through us and the world.

At some point, you have to bow down humbly and beg to the Unseen if not for yourself then for someone you love. Sometimes your prayers would be answered almost immediately, sometimes it would take time. But sometimes you will see it has not been answered. Have you ever faced this in your life? I have.

But if you see the situation in the larger aspect you will realize something that you wanted so dearly from the superpower, the Universe or God has not been rejected. Actually, something better has been offered for the highest good of everyone.

Say, you wanted to heal from something and you didn’t. This is not a rejection of your prayer. It just means perhaps you have to keep praying more humbly, more often until you are healed!

If you were praying for the life of someone you loved and they died it’s not that your prayer has been denied but it means that the soul has transcended now to a better place to achieve better goals than they could do in this lifetime.

At least I prefer to think like that now after losing my father. After praying for day and night, after becoming a prayer myself and then losing him I could not find any answer to my question – Where was my prayer wrong?

Now I realize, my father who was a multi-talented man but did not receive much appreciation for all the qualities he had will be allowed to start a new life with a new purpose. In his new life, he will receive what he deserved. Here, he would be able to fulfill his dreams. In his new path, he would be cherished by everyone and do more good to the world than he could do in his previous one.

Prayers have power. My prayers did not bring my father back to me but my prayers will definitely stay with him as his soul progresses to the next life. The prayers of a bereaved daughter will perhaps be a blessing to her old father in his new journey.
