Woman Enough

I am woman enough

Resilience comes from endurance

My endurance from pain

Today, I seek to empower those

Who live life the same

Our struggles exist as a test of fate

Our lives are humbled

As a result of weight

We carry as baggage

I can attest to that

I am woman enough

No need to combat

My feelings, my truth

My woes, my youth

Cannot change the old

I can only stride into the new
