Misty Mtn is a Brooklyn-based pop duo combining the heartfelt songwriting of NYC-born, Montana-raised female vocalist Morissa Trunzo with the infectious beats of electronic producer and LA-native Lucas Segall, forging a unique sound they describe as “Dark Mountain Pop”.
Misty Mtn’s diverse influences are apparent in their first offering, “Greener,” released December 11, 2017. Americana-tinged harmonies blend with fingerpicked electric guitar, synth textures and hip-hop beats. Will Sisskind of The Deli Magazine NY said, “they blend the soft folk music of Big Sky Country with the dark synthetic electricity of big city synths and samplers.” Their sound is fresh but familiar, and it’s all wrapped up in a simple song about the complex emotions of moving on.
“Greener” is just the beginning for Misty Mtn. They are set to release a series of singles throughout early 2018, so stay tuned. Follow Misty Mtn on Instagram and check out their website for news, release updates and information on upcoming live performances, and listen to the debut single “Greener” on Spotify.
Hayley & The Crushers
Hayley & The Crushers is a San Luis Obispo, CA-based trio of pop/punk/rockers comprised of badass, pink-haired lady lead vocalist & guitarist Hayley Crusher Cain, Dr. Crusher (Reid Cain) & Gabriel Crusher (Gabriel Olivarria). The band’s 2016 debut full length ‘Jewel Case’ was released via Lost State Records and has been applauded by underground tastemakers at Razorcake and Pork Magazine for its “new oldies sound” reminiscent of the Go-Go’s, drive-in movies, and teenage hijinx.
According to Melted Magazine, the Crushers’ syrupy garage-tinged punk rock is “like glue stuck to the bottom of your combat boot,” and Hayley Crusher has been likened to Gidget with a guitar, or a “demonic Go Go.” They have played with The Aquadolls, Tacocat, Hinds, The Regrettes and more.
Hayley and the Crushers is pure poolside glitter trash from California’s “Crusherverse.” They’re a band about fun, empowerment and the rejection of normality. Their second full-length album ‘Cool/Lame’ is slated for a Spring 2018 release and a Pacific Northwest tour is scheduled for April 2018.
And if being a glitter trash queen wasn’t enough, Hayley Crusher is also a super cool feminist/rockstar/writer who also blogs about being a woman with a guitar at www.isyourboyfriendintheband.com and launched her own shoe-string DIY podcast for noisy, vibrant women: Sparkle and Destroy.
Hear Hayley & The Crushers’ debut album ‘Jewel Case’ on iTunes, band camp, Pandora, and Spotify and stay tuned for ‘Cool/Lame’ Spring 2018!
Alisabeth Von Presley
Alisabeth Von Presley is a platinum blonde rocker raised on a well-balanced diet of Michael Jackson, Pat Benatar, and a plateful of glitter. The Iowa-born girl has left a memorable impact on stages from Los Angeles to New York – with stops at “American Idol” and “The Voice” in between. She has won numerous competitions, taking home the Grand Prize for “Challenge. Create. Change” a Converse/YouTube competition as well as writing the winning jingle for Cellular South.
Von Presley performs with a flair for the dynamic and theatrical – she’s been described as a “passionate performance roller-coaster tied up in pleather pants and sequin stilettos.” Or as one musical critic wrote, “when Alisabeth sings, the neon rainbow melts into a swirling puddle.” Alisabeth is now performing on the heels of her new album “Diamonds In The Blackout,” most recently playing a series of sold out shows at the prestigious Cabaret In The Courtyard and for over 22,000 on the lawn of the historic Brucemore Mansion. Her single “I’m A Wonder” is a bonafide girl power anthem written for all the working girls, the 9-5’ers, all modern-day wonder women! She also recently dropped a stunning, glitter-filled music video for her dynamic track “Glow.” Get on the Von Presley train; this girl is a performer to watch!
