Heartbreak for Christmas

I’m sitting here – all alone

It’s Christmas Eve and I had to turn my phone off

You couldn’t even wait till Christmas Day

To go ahead and throw my heart away.

All our dreams and all our past

Gone up in smoke

Like lightning flashes,

You weren’t careful there was too much gas.

Now I don’t know what to do with all the ashes.

I picture you…years from now

Wife in hand

Cause we’re all over now

I’ll be nothing but a memory

But you’ll still remain, why I cry on Christmas Eve.
