Labyrinth

We walked through the labyrinth together.

We twisted through the maze of the memories we had made the night before.

you walked a little further, leaving me behind.

It was as if I didn’t even exist in that moment.

I knew, something in me knew.

There was a shift, a change.

We stopped for a moment, stood there in silence.

“Did you let go of what you were holding on to?” You asked me.

“I think so”, I reluctantly replied.

And we continued through the labyrinth, until we reached the end.

(The end of whatever we had)
