The Car

The night is clear, and, in the distance, sound is a surprise and exciting.

The silhouette is coming closer.

There it sits, four wheels – maroon; at 16 a gift from dad to daughter.

The Car –

The power that travels from the car to the heart,

The connection in speed, passion for racing, fun and love connected the dad and daughter.

The Car –

The passion felt by each, rebuild together, engine removed, years go quickly, work needed, parts laying in the car.

The connection between dad and daughter.

Wear and tear on the car, daddy slow, older and unable to do any work on the car; the dream is finished.

Years vanish, said goodbye to you dad and to

The Car –
