The Difference Between Copywriting And Content Writing.

As a business owner, You may question if you need a content writer or a copywriter?
Well, you actually need both.

If you truly want to make money you can’t have one without the other.

If you only have copywriters all your material will only consist of pitching and selling on a content basis.

Such as …

  • Webinar scrips
  • Sales Letters.
  • VSL (Video Sales Letters.)
  • FB ADS

Pretty much anything writing for the purpose of creating a conversion or a sale. If you do this, your audience will tune you out because they get tired of being pitched.

Keep in mind, In today’s competitive marketplace you need to nurture a group of potential customers.

The key is to always be adding value first.

Now, if you only have content writers, on the other hand, you may be putting out great content, you’re spending a lot of time, money, and you have a lot of people liking you.

The Only problem is, if you don’t have copywriters to help you to convert some of those leads into customers then you don’t make any money.

You just have a lot of people liking you and your content, but they will never make that purchase.

No business owner wants that right?

What you want to do is to use your content to Entice, Educate, and Entertain your audience.
It would consist of content such as…

  • Blog posts
  • Videos
  • IG Posts
  • Captions
  • Images
  • Graphics

All of these will give you that much-needed engagement you’ll need to make the sale.

As a matter of fact, You want to put out so much content in the marketplace with an extreme value that your prospects are saying…

“Wow, this is good stuff!”

“This is amazing stuff!”

“I’m getting so much value from this!”

“If the free content is this good, I wonder how good the paid products or services are?”

Now, this is exactly what you want!!

Think of content writing as pre-selling. I hope that makes it easier for you to understand.

So, when it comes to your business, again you want both.

Chantel Smith - The Psychic Copywriter, Closer and Consultant

I am a certified copywriter and closer (sales specialist). I also do ongoing training in digital marketing for the past 9 years and I’ve been doing consulting with consumers, business owners, and brokers for the past 10 + years.

As I mentioned in the opening, I am a psychic and I use my abilities in most of my work.

In the past two years, I’ve realized my psychic abilities allow me to tap into a brand like it’s a living organism. If the brand is not yet present, I have the ability to truly listen and envision what the business owner has in mind.

I’ve always written poetry and created many forms of art from painting, jewelry making, journal crafting (scrapbooking), fashion design, drawing, graphics design, hemp art, singing, and the list goes on.

I’ve shifted my passions to copywriting. Copywriting can be so many things including content for a blog or a Superbowl commercial that makes millions to even a book description. Other than poetry… if it has words… it’s copy!!!

Up until recently, I’ve only been able to express myself with forms of art. As I was never really that great with words. After years of study thousands of dollars later I’m happy to say I can now write my own bios. I love having the ability to express myself in such a way!!

So with that, I decided to come to the Harness Community and see what I could offer the world!
