My Type of Fun

There are days and so many moments where I would like your presence- the aura of your heart to be near me. It completely changes my mood, my behavior and my attitude when you are in front of me. When you’re with someone who you deeply trust and love, your value of intimacy changes. There is more to intimacy other than hugs, kisses and cuddles. It’s the way we lock eyes when we finish a thought at the same time. The mannerism and social equity we share amongst each other. The cohesive atmosphere that we create. The mutual respect and recognition we share during topics of discussion even when they are uncomfortable. Those are real life examples of intimacy I enjoy more than sexual pleasure. It’s pleasant to have an intimacy that involves so much more deeper than sex appeal. I just love when we look each other in the eye and smile- without saying a word because I know your smiling back at me means that you love me too.

by Janae Harley

Hello everyone, my name is Janae. I am a writer who writes poetry about life, nature, romance, heartbreak, sadness and all the other feelings that make us human. In my spare time I also write short nonfiction stories for fun or to enter into writing competitions. When I’m not writing you could find me reading horror, mystery-suspense or thriller books at a local coffee shop, in the park or at the beach soaking up the sun. Being that I was born and raised in NYC, I love to get away and explore the world in quiet places that includes activities such as hiking up mountains, taking long walks in nature reserve parks and visiting gardens to admire the variety of flowers. If you like, you can read or listen to more of my poetry on my Instagram account @simple_yet_significant__ You can also find me on Reedsy writing website under my full name Janae Harley to read some of my short stories.
