Lately, I’ve realized entrepreneurship is all about final moments. It’s an attitude that permeates through everything in your life. It’s finishing when no one expects you to finish. Not because you want to prove others wrong – but because you challenge yourself to see final moments through.
These final moments came to me while I was running on the treadmill. I had thirty seconds left and I had basically finished my workout. I could have stopped – thirty seconds wouldn’t have made a difference in the grand scheme of things. But I kept going despite my mind telling me it made no difference. There I found the last thirty seconds to be the most challenging. I was fighting against myself. I realized that seeing things through when you’ve mentally check out is incredible practice for entrepreneurship.
Most people will give up. Obstacles will be in the way. People will doubt you. Your mind will be EXHAUSTED. But it is in the final moments – the most trying times – that you build character and discipline. Those qualities forged in fire will help make you the best entrepreneur you can be.
So I challenge you to finish things through, the small and the big things because it all serves a purpose.
